A breezy day with drizzle for a perfect intimate temple wedding. Just after the lockdown in 2020 Mahima & Govind decided to get married at the Shree Krishma temple in Nidgi, Pune. It’s a Kerala boy – Mysuru girl – getting married in Pune. All the families were online as the two exchange the garlands. The only 8 guests at the temple included friends and cousins who could travel and make it to the temple. I’ve photographed multiple times at the Shree Krishna temple where most of the places photography is prohibited but due to pandemic certain areas were accessible and lucky enough we even got to take a few portraits.
It was a wonderful morning that I could spend with them and actually enjoy the wedding without much fuss over timings, formal rituals, a huge guest list and a tired bride and groom at the end of the day. I absolutely enjoy photographing big fancy weddings but to be a part of such intimate weddings is something special.
