A beautiful day for Chinmay’s thread ceremony or “Munja”. It was a one day affair with just the close family and friends. Chinmay is an avid gamer and a super talented and enthusiastic kid. The ceremony done in Tamil style. The breakfast & lunch also entire set up by talented south Indian cooks. We roamed around the property along with Chinmay and his cousins taking some photos of them goofing around. It’s a beautiful location just below Sinhagad fort near Pune
I do feel the world is a small place. Chinmay’s aatya .. Rohini is my childhood friend from Vashi. I was probably to cover her wedding but then the pandemic cancelled all the plans which were chalked out. But then Anand (Chinmay’s father) along with Rohini asked me to cover the thread ceremony. The family had going through some difficult times but they decided to come together and celebrate these moments and cherish the happiness of having your loved ones around.
