Ashwini and Scott had an intimate wedding in the US. They planned a similar intimate get together in Pune at Taj Vivanta & Ramee grand over two days. All my initial communication happened with her father. We met over a cup of coffee to finalize the details. Ashwini and I spoke over calls as she gave me all the plans for both the days.
At Taj her father’s old friends from his office days who knew Ashwini from childhood had come down to meet the newly weds for the first time. It was an extremely relaxed evening. Many of them were recollecting memories of Ashwini as kid and all the wonderful moments they have shared together as one big family. At the very end her teacher from her childhood days had penned down few words which she shared. This was when I saw a very emotive Ashwini become calm and listen to her teacher probably like a kid back in her classroom.
The second day at Ramee grand was more laid back with only close knit relatives come together to meet them.
One of those days as a wedding photographer where there are no time-bound ceremonies, rituals and stage shots. Instead a fantastic group people spending quality time together and having a great time. It’s not the lighting, the decor or the outfits. Its simply is about the human bond, the relations, the connections which for formed and how important they are to the people.
A super big shout to Ashiwni & Scott to being one of the coolest couple that I’ve photographed. Enjoying and having fun during both the days. A special thanks to her father for traveling down for a meeting, asking all the required questions, understanding my side & all of them for the warm hospitality.
