Poorva & Pushkar’s Maharashtrian Wedding at Hyatt Regency Pune

Where do I even begin. I often thank my stars or luck or fate for letting me stay in weddings and meeting as lovely as these two and their entire family. From covering their engagement – to Poorva’s brother’s wedding (Purujit & Jessi’s wedding) I’ve been lucky to have been a part of their almost every celebration. Not just these two but their cousins and their families as well. Incredibly lucky. The festivities began in the vada home with Mehendi. Close family, sisters, nieces and a Purujit was made the clean the bits and pieces with a beautiful smell of henna covered the entire house. Laughter jokes and smiles are always a part of their family get togethers. We got some pictures once the Mehendi was done in the beautiful nooks and corners of their home where Poorva mother has her own lovely eden of flowers and planters.

The wedding celebrities began with portraits, family photos followed by Simant poojan and Sangeet. Pushkar being a Gujrati garba & dandiya had to be a part of the dance. All the amazing performances were followed by everyone dancing in a grand circle to some wonderful Gujrati garba songs. It was an early morning at Hyatt Regency as we began taking photos of the bride and the groom. Pushkar had already told me 5 photos and he was done. Poorva was looking gorgeous in her traditional marathi saree. The entire ceremony was a encompass of varied emotion as everyone had tears in their eyes. It was an emotional moment for me as well to see these two tie the knot. As I’ve said I’m nothing but lucky to have met these two wonderful people and their families who have welcomed me and still are into their most beloved moments.
