Amrutha & Ashwin’s Telugu Kerala Wedding at Hyatt Regency Pune

Amrutha & Ashwin’s wedding was a beautiful mix of Telugu and Kerala traditions, but with a completely unexpected twist. Somewhere along the way, the pandits almost turned parts of the ceremony into a Maharashtrian wedding with rituals that felt so familiar to all of us. These two were absolutely into each other through the entire celebration. Smiling, laughing, chatting during rituals and simply enjoying every second together. The Mehendi evening was packed with games, songs and some seriously crazy dance moves by Amrutha’s mom and her friends that pretty much stole the show.

The wedding was at Hyatt Regency Pune . These two actually got their makeup and bits of outfits done together which instantly set the mood for the day. With plenty of time on our hands, we wandered around Hyatt Regency Pune creating portraits while the two of them were more interested in spotting birds around the property than worrying about photos. That’s exactly the kind of energy that makes for the best photographs. Real, effortless and full of personality. During the ceremony they had a ball with all the playful rituals, from rice pouring to flower blowing and finding the ring. The reception was more formal, but then came the real fun. Dracula poses, gym trainer inspired portraits and absolute nonsense in the best way possible. Massive thanks to these two for being so warm, chilled out and becoming friends for life.
