Photographing families with little ones in the comfort of their home is always a joy. There’s something special about children being in their own space, the tiny feet running across familiar floors, favourite toys scattered around, and moments that unfold naturally. It’s in these everyday details that the real beauty lies.
I spent a few hours with baby Kavya and her family in Pune. She was an absolutely adorable baby, always smiling, endlessly curious, and full of energy. We roamed around their home, capturing little adventures in every room. From her play area to the living room, each corner became a new backdrop for her to explore and for us to document. There were spontaneous giggles, peekaboo moments, and a lot of crawling, clapping, and cuddles. It’s the kind of genuine joy that can’t be staged.
Later, we headed to their terrace, where her grandparents joined us. Kavya’s grandmother has a small garden — lush, homely, and full of charm. After a quick tea break filled with conversation and laughter, we took more photographs in the soft afternoon light. The bond between Kavya and her grandparents was beautiful. They shared smiles, laughter, and togetherness.
The entire shoot flowed effortlessly, just like a relaxed weekend morning spent with family. This is exactly why I love home sessions — they bring out the real, unfiltered essence of a family. There’s no pressure to pose or perform; just be who you are, and I’ll be there to capture it.
