Archana and Rahul both work in America. They traveled to India for their Maharasthrian style wedding among their loved ones. It was a whole day affair, with the functions beginning at 7 30 AM till late evening 9 PM.

The day began with their traditional engagement, haldli, baraat and wedding. It was held at Four Points by Sheraton, Pune.

The first photograph is a taking during Haldi. Once the formal ritual of applying haldi is over, both sides of families come together to apply haldi to each other. It’s more of a fun factor that makes a wedding relaxed and enjoyable.

Second photograph is taken during Mangalashtaka which is one of the most important ritual; the exchange of garlands. Another twist to this is the groom’s and brides relatives raise them high and make it a little difficult for the other to put the garland. Archana was a little unhappy, when Rahul was picked up but her cousins made sure she could easily put her garland.
